Featured Artist - William Boyd Chisum
Southern Gospel singer and songwriter, author, minister, Grammy and Dove Award nominee… all these describe William Boyd Chisum, but at heart he is a man committed to following God.
Due to complications from the error of a an emergency room physician when he was a newborn, Boyd spent most of the first sixteen years of his life in Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. He underwent his first surgery at nine months of age. Countless more followed, but when he was finally able to go home, he made up for lost time, pursuing his every dream.
Blessed with an exceptionally strong tenor voice, he saw fame and fortune as a Country and Western musician, but after years of chasing the wind of his heart’s desires, he resubmitted himself to God’s will. His first album of original songs, “Chasing the Wind,” was followed by his autobiography of the same title.
Boyd never fails to connect with audiences and congregations, and regularly hears stories of how his book and music have touched lives.
